Yuma History Dinners - Held at the beautiful and historic St. Paul's Cultural Center, City Historian Tina Clark and lifelong resident Cathy Reeves host the dinners which celebrate the best of local dishes and fresh farm produce, with Mexican flair.
Oct. 31-Nov. 1: The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Happy Halloween Movie Night at the Desert Sun Stadium. Attendees can bring their own chairs and blankets and stay socially distanced in a designated seating space for up to 6 people. Masks are required and costumes encouraged. Alcohol and beverages will be available for purchase. For the safety of our local performers, there will be no shadowcast this year. Audience members are invited to fully in participate in their designated “spots.” All your prop needs will be available for purchase at the door. Although madness takes its toll, please be safe and do not attend if you are not feeling well or have known exposure to COVID-19.

Nov. 21-22: Colorado River Crossing Hot Air Balloon Festival - The Colorado River Crossing Hot Air Balloon Festival - presented by the Caballeros de Yuma - is one of Yuma, Arizona's premier fall events. The festival attracts some of the most colorful and unique balloons from the West and Southwest. Staged over two days in November, with mass ascensions on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the festival uses the Colorado River and the Sonoran Desert as its backdrop. The highlight is the Desert Balloon Glow that takes place on Saturday night where tethered balloons with their burners firing at full blast, will glow brightly in the dark desert sky, The entire pageant is set to music. All 2020 Events will take place at Yuma West Wetlands Park. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all events (launches and Glow) will be drive-thru events at Yuma West Wetlands Park. Dec. 12: Dorothy Young Memorial Electric Light Parade - A favorite tradition for nearly a generation, the parade covers more than three miles with is plenty of space for spectators to be spaced out on the sidewalks and side lots. The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. on 4th Avenue and winds through Historic Downtown Yuma, with spectators lining the streets to view the lighted creations as the parade marches by.
